Legal & Documentation
Comprehensive information regarding your usage, privacy, and data on the BistroX digital cooking platform. We believe in complete transparency and a pure, tracker-free web experience.
Terms of Use
Welcome to BistroX. By accessing or using our image-based cooking game, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the service.
1. Nature of the Service
BistroX is a fully frontend, browser-based simulation game designed for educational and entertainment purposes. It simulates the culinary arts through visual interactions and logic-based mechanics. The recipes and combinations presented in the game are stylized interpretations and should be executed in real life with appropriate culinary care and food safety standards.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
The service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Htet Zaw Paing and its licensors. The visual assets, including all SVG illustrations, structural code (HTML/CSS/JS), and proprietary game logic are protected by copyright laws.
- Permitted Use: You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the game and interact with the interface for personal, non-commercial use.
- Restrictions: You may not reverse-engineer, clone, distribute, or create derivative works from our specific code structure or design system without explicit permission.
3. User Conduct & Accounts
While BistroX does not utilize a remote backend server, you have the ability to create "Accounts" via your browser's local environment. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your local device. We are not liable for any lost progress resulting from browser cache clears or device changes.
Data Privacy Policy
At BistroX, we take a radical approach to your privacy: We do not collect it. Because our application is engineered as a pure frontend experience, your data fundamentally never leaves your device.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Unlike traditional web applications, BistroX operates without a centralized database. Therefore, we absolutely do not harvest, transmit, or store:
- Your IP Address
- Your Geolocation data
- Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
- Cross-site browsing history
- Email addresses or phone numbers
2. External Links and APIs
Our platform may contain links to external sites (such as GitHub, LinkedIn, or Unsplash for placeholder images). If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these external sites, as we have no control over their practices.
The Privacy Guarantee: When you play BistroX, the game logic executes entirely within the RAM and CPU of your own computer or mobile device. No data is sent to a BistroX server during gameplay.
Local Storage Information
To provide you with a seamless, persistent gaming experience without requiring a backend database, BistroX heavily utilizes the HTML5 Web Storage API (specifically `localStorage`). This section details exactly how and why we use it.
1. What is Local Storage?
Local Storage is an industry-standard web technology that allows websites to store text-based data locally within your web browser. This data persists even after you close the browser window or restart your computer, allowing you to return to your game exactly where you left off.
2. How BistroX Uses Your Local Storage
We use local storage strictly for functional gameplay purposes. Specifically, we store:
- `bx_users`: An encrypted array containing the usernames and passwords you create locally to access your profile.
- `bx_currentUser`: A simple string indicating which chef profile is currently "logged in" to the session.
- Game State Data: Arrays tracking which specific ingredients you have unlocked, which recipes you have mastered, and your current inventory.
3. Managing Your Storage
Because this data lives on your device, you have total control over it. You can delete your BistroX data at any time by clearing your browser's site data or cache. Warning: Doing so will permanently erase your created profiles, unlocked recipes, and game progress, as we have no remote backup to restore from.
